Not a lender
US Loan is a connection service, not a lender. We do not set or control APRs, fees or repayment terms. The examples below are illustrative only; your actual offer is set by the lender and disclosed to you in writing before you sign anything.
Representative APR
Annual Percentage Rates on short-term loans typically range from approximately 200% to 1,386%, and on personal installment loans from approximately 5.99% to 35.99%, depending on the lender, loan amount, term, your state and your creditworthiness.
- Example A: borrow $500 for 14 days at a $75 fee = 391.07% APR; total repayment $575.
- Example B: borrow $2,500 for 24 months at 19.99% APR = payments of about $127.16; total repayment about $3,051.84.
Renewals and rollovers
Renewal policies are set by the lender and regulated by state law. Renewing or rolling over a loan increases the total cost of borrowing and may trigger additional fees. Some states prohibit renewals entirely. Ask your lender before your due date.
Late payments
Late payments may result in late fees, returned-item (NSF) fees charged by your lender and your bank, and additional interest. Contact your lender as early as possible if you expect a problem repaying.
Non-payment
Non-payment may result in collection activity, referral to a third-party collection agency, reporting to consumer reporting agencies, and — where permitted by law — legal action. This can negatively affect your credit score and your ability to borrow in the future.
Collection practices
Lenders in our network are expected to follow the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and applicable state law. Lenders may not threaten criminal prosecution for non-payment of a consumer loan.
State availability
Short-term loans are not available in every state, and available amounts and terms differ by state. Residents of states where such loans are prohibited or restricted may not be connected with a lender.
Credit impact
Submitting a request does not affect your credit score. Lenders may perform credit checks through consumer reporting agencies or alternative databases before extending an offer.
Financial advice
Nothing on this website is financial, legal or tax advice. Short-term credit is expensive money and should be used only for temporary shortfalls, never as a long-term financial solution.
